A
few years ago I found this sign in a love drug store taped to a shelf
in
the back. There is a speed in the making and an unobstructed honesty in
the
gesture that seems so obvious in relation to such a simple request. I
went
home and tried to match the sentiment, but couldn't. I ended up bringing
one of my second-rate replicas back to the drug store and secretly switched
it with the original.
I am xeroxing the original sign and posting it throughout the city

ABOUT THE ARTIST
I was born in New York City in 1973, received a BA from Brown University, anMFA from Columbia University, participated in residencies at the Skowhegan
School of Painting and Sculpture and the PS1 National Studio Program, and
show my work at various venues in the United States and Europe. Currently
I'm working on a project for Socrates Sculpture Park in Long Island City.
