ARTISTS STATEMENT

My work is a window to an exterior environment. I use video to transpose paintings to an another place: the imaginary landscape of recollection. These works are a collaboration between video, photography and paint. All of these mediums involve the environment, and myself.

My work, like myself, stems from several locations. It starts with a recorded place in my camera. I travel and take footage of different places. I start manipulating video: the memory and start recomposing my images. This decomposition and superimposition of this medium leads me to a composition of photo-video paintings.
