FREE BIENNIAL: PROJECTS: NOT TV
NOT TV
EMILY WEBBER (DIRECTOR)

Not TV (www.not-tv.org) is an alternative space to the gallery, in which artists can show video, sound pieces and live art. Using new media we are able to broadcast over the Internet. It is a streaming web site that uses "Real Producer" to web cast. This means that the viewer sees the images as they are downloaded to their computer faster than a normal download. 100 people can view not TV at any time, on a 56k modem or above. The site is non profit making and is free to view with the real player basic download, which is also free.

Not TV is an ongoing project, the web site was set up in december 2000, by a small group of post graduate and undergraduate students at The Slade School of Fine Art, London, via the University College London Real Server. not TV is constantly expanding and accepts any work that we think is suitable to be shown on the site.
