FREE BIENNIAL: PROJECTS: HAPPY TRAVELER
HAPPY TRAVELER

VERONICA REILLY & STEVE PAGE

Happy Traveler is a chronicle of our journeys. It encompasses non-linear adventures, shifting contrasts, unexpected juxtapositions, unexplained interests, chance discoveries, and the fundamental question - what is it? We present this chronicle attached to a chain link fence on a busy thoroughfare so that many may enjoy a look at our notes, vicariously experiencing our daydreams, allowing people to enter into our private lives in a public space. We invite people to join us in an opening performance at the site on Monday, April 3 from 6-8PM where we will create and then consume paintings on cake. This performance will be documented and included in the presentation on the fence.

HOW TO LOCATE

Happy Traveler can be found on the fence on Bedford Avenue at the corner of N. 11th Street (near the Bedford Avenue L train stop). It is on the east side facing an empty lot with an Orthodox church as its backdrop.

On view during the month of April, opening performance with free cake on April 3rd from 6-8 PM.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Both work at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and travel on their days off to places both near and far. Both attended too many schools to list here yet managed to escape with a degree apiece - hint, Fine Arts meets Creative Writing.
