ARTISTS STATEMENT

Art functions like a dye-marker in currented waters. Similar to a flag, it acquires adherents who recognize something in the work, or the context of the work, and through the work can often recognize each other. Different dye-markers illustrate different sensibilities and differing relationships to both history and the academy that exist within the culture at large.
